All instructors are employees of Regency Driving School. The instructor will provide driving lessons for the student at the agreed rate and schedule. The cost of the driving lessons will have been clearly explained upon first contact with Regency Driving School. All driving lessons are private one-to-one. However with the consent of Regency Driving School, other people may be present for the purpose of observation only. Up to a maximum of one person.

The instructor reserves the right to substitute another instructor for a student’s lesson if required, or rearrange any lessons to a mutually convenient time without liability unless specified by the student.
The student should notify Regency Driving School if they have already pre-booked a road test with ICBC at time of booking lessons with us.

The student is required to bring their valid driver’s license or learner’s license for their driving lesson. Students must advise Regency Driving School of any medication or prescription drugs they are taking that may affect their ability to drive safely before taking any lessons.

If a student is required to wear prescription glasses or contact lenses whilst driving and the student fails to wear them on a driving lesson, the lesson will be cancelled.
Any student may be refused a driving lesson if the instructor has reason to believe that the student is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The instructor will make every effort to train you to the highest standard but can in no way be held liable for any errors the student commits whilst driving before, during, or after they pass their road test. Instructors will advise the student when to book their road test. The instructor will ensure that the student also be advised to bring all the necessary documentation and fees.

Driving lessons are 90 mins and will include a 5 minute briefing at the start of the lesson and the student carrying out their cockpit drill before driving. At the end of the driving lesson there will be a 5 min debrief of the driving lesson and completion of paperwork ( Student Record ) Total amount of driving time being 80 mins .

A $25.00 cancellation fee will apply if a minimum notice of 24 hours is not provided before a scheduled lesson. The $25.00 cancellation fee will also apply if a student does not attend a scheduled lesson. This fee covers rescl1eduling and the instructor’s time. ICBC requires 48 hours notice to cancel or change a road test which ICBC only accepts 48 hours notice Monday-Friday. ICBC will charge $25.00 on your license if your road test appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice. This will be due to ICBC on the date of your road test and must be paid prior to the road test taking place.

Refunds will be issued for incomplete driving packages. Used lessons will be charged at the rate of a single 90 min driving lesson rate ($78.75) and the remaining balance of the package will be refunded.

Any lessons purchased must be used within 12 months of purchase. After 12 months no refund will be issued.

Regency Driving School will charge $25.00 for any cheques returned by the bank as NSF. This charge will be added to your account and is to be paid prior to or on your next driving lesson.

It is hereby agreed that the contract is made solely between Regency Driving School and the student.
